Dr Ailsa Lumsden
Since qualifying from King's College London in 2005 Ailsa has been working as a doctor in the NHS. She specialised in medical oncology 9 years ago and is in her final year of training. In 2016 she was awarded a PhD in molecular biology for her thesis on prostate cancer and microRNAs at Imperial College London. Her own journey managing her chronic illness has made her very a passionate advocate of exercise, nutrition and the role that a healthy lifestyle can play in treating disease. Active on social media as @dr_ailsa she promotes healthy living as a way to prevent cancer and also demonstrate the realities of juggling life as an oncologist and a mother of young children.
Dr Simon Poole
Simon Poole MBBS DRCOG is a Cambridge based medical doctor, author, broadcaster and commentator and is an internationally renowned authority on the science and application of the Mediterranean diet and lifestyle. He is a member of Council of the highly influential US based True Health Initiative. He is a member of the Public Health Medicine Committee and General Practitioners Committee of the British Medical Association as well as a Council member of the Royal College of General Practitioners and a founding member of the British Society of Lifestyle Medicine and the European Lifestyle Medicine Organisation. Simon is an international senior collaborator with the NNedPro Global Center for Nutrition and Health, Cambridge and has previously been involved in teaching at Cambridge University primary care department. He is an inaugural member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the International Olive Wellness Institute.
Dr Niraj Arora
Niraj has worked in mental health for 18 years. His initial interests were in the science of memory and he attained a neuroscience degree from Cambridge University. After studying medicine at Oxford, he went on to specialise in mental health. Key in a person's psychological wellbeing is the sense of being understood, and empowered to make healthy life choices. Niraj works with people to see how they can get the best out of themselves, and own their wellbeing. He is a quality improvement trainer for the NHS, an honorary senior lecturer at Imperial College, London and works as a consultant psychiatrist at the Cardinal Clinic, Windsor.
Sam Feltham
Sam is director of The Public Health Collaboration. Sam has been in the health and fitness industry for over a decade. Starting out as a party coordinator at a sports centre and working his way up to studying at the European Institute of Fitness and qualifying as a Master Personal Trainer. After 5 years of running a fitness boot camp business Sam decided to move away from that business in order to fully focus on improving public health by setting up and directing the Public Health Collaboration.

Monica Durigon is a qualified Nutritional Therapist, member of BANT ( British Association of Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine ), CNCH ( Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council) and IFM ( Institute of Functional Medicine). She graduated form the Institute of Optimum Nutrition in 2014 where she was awarded the Dian Shepperson Mills Prize for “Outstanding Performance in Clinic”. She strongly believes that the dietary and lifestyle choices we make everyday not only shape our body and influence our physical and mental health, but they ultimately affect our whole life. Monica has a particular interest in healthy ageing and brain health. She works in Windsor and London and offers nutritional programmes and wellbeing coaching one to one and to corporate teams. Dr Alex Maxwell
Alex is a London-based GP, Lifestyle Medic and Sports Medic. He loves empowering and supporting people to truly improve their health. He has found that Lifestyle Medicine and Social Prescribing are invaluable paradigms in achieving these aims.
Alex has been delivering Group Consultations on Lifestyle Medicine principles for over a year now and believes that they create a level of engagement that is challenging to create in other situations.
Alex teaches Junior Doctors and Medical Students in both primary care and Lifestyle Medicine.
He is a London Director of the British Society of Lifestyle Medicine and feels privileged to be in a position where he can promote Lifestyle Medicine and support others.
Dr Nick Nieland PhD
Nick is a three times Olympian and Commonwealth Champion at the javelin throw, with a personal best of 85.09m, which is fourth on the all-time UK rankings. Nick won 4 national titles from 1996 to 2007 and represented Great Britain at Olympic, World, European and Commonwealth Championships. Nick’s achievements between 2000 and 2007 coincided with a challenging role in Finance as an Equity Analyst, which is a testament to time management and work/life balance. Nick is a graduate of Bristol University with PhD in Chemistry.
Andrea Wady
Andrea is the founder of Spring Wellbeing, a Pilates teacher and Wellness Coach. With a life long interest in health and wellbeing Andrea works collaboratively with her clients, supporting them with making long term, sustainable changes in order to reach their wellbeing goals. Her coaching philosophy addresses the whole person. Andrea hold a MSc in Coaching and Behavioural Change from Reading University, is a certified NLP practitioner and is qualified to administer and process Step I and Step II of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® instrument (MBTI ®).
